December · office parties · the family dinner · rooms with a bar

The holiday party
nobody has to cook.

The office party, the department dinner, the family thing on the twenty-third. December is the month the calendar fills, so the rule is simple: hold the date now, settle the menu later. The Big Feast is built for it, and the Wilmington tavern has rooms with their own doors and a bar down the hall.

01

The package for a feast

The Big Feast, 32.99 a guest: every smokehouse meat — brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, turkey, ham — slow-smoked wings, three sides, cornbread and brioche rolls, and dessert from Hill Donut Co. Fifty guests is 1,649.50 in food. An office that wants a lunch, not a banquet, books The Cookout at 16.99 or The Tailgate at 23.99.

02

A room, or the whole restaurant

Wilmington seats up to 150 with a full bar, craft cocktails, beer and wine and a dance floor, and has private rooms for the group of 25 that wants a door. Mullica Hill seats 75, BYOB with no corkage. Rooms and buyouts are planned with the catering desk, not booked online, because a bar package and a room change the number.

03

December logistics

Weekends in December go first; hold yours with a 50% deposit as soon as the date is set. Inside seven days the order is paid in full. Drop-off and setup are included inside the free radius around each smokehouse; pickup is always free. Sales tax follows the event, 6.625% in New Jersey and none in Delaware, and the office pays no service fee.

Questions

How early should we book a December holiday party?

As soon as the date is set. A party-size order needs a day's notice, but December Fridays and Saturdays are the first weekends of the year to fill. A 50% deposit holds the date; the menu can change until the week before.

Can we hold the event at the restaurant?

Yes. 322 BBQ & Tavern in Wilmington, DE seats up to 150 with a full bar and dance floor and has private rooms with their own doors. 322 BBQ in Mullica Hill, NJ seats up to 75, BYOB with no corkage, with a picnic grove in season.

Can you do a holiday lunch for the office instead of a dinner?

Yes. The Cookout or The Tailgate dropped off hot at noon, per guest, ten-guest minimum. Boxed lunches are arranged through the catering desk.

How do I hold a date, and what do I pay up front?

Book at 322bbq.com/catering/order. More than seven days out, a 50% deposit holds the date and the balance is due on the day, cash or card (card adds 2.9%). Inside seven days the order is paid in full online. No service fee.
