Bring beer or wine, we open it, no corkage fee. No reservations and no wait list, so groups just show up. The shaded picnic grove is the summer room; the historic Old Mill is the winter one. Kids get house-made soft serve.
Post-oak goes on at midnight. Twelve hours later the brisket comes off dry-rubbed, bark on, shaved or chopped to order. That is the whole method: oak, time, salt, pepper, no shortcuts. Ribs, pulled pork, chipotle chicken, honey-brined turkey. Sandwiches, platters with two sides, and combos from two people to twenty, all out of the Mullica Hill kitchen.
Twenty minutes west on 322, the Wilmington, DE smokehouse is the tavern: full bar, craft cocktails, reservations, live music. Same pit, different room.
